Lovejeet Alexander has joined Bloomberg as Director – New Economy, where he will help advance the Bloomberg New Economy initiative from India, marking a key addition to the global media and financial information company’s efforts to deepen engagement around economic transformation and policy dialogue.
The development was shared by Lovejeet Alexander in a LinkedIn post, where he announced his new role and expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Bloomberg’s global platform. He said he looks forward to advancing the initiative from India and engaging with leaders across business and government.
In his new position, Lovejeet will work at the intersection of markets, policy, and global economic transformation, supporting Bloomberg’s New Economy platform, which focuses on shaping conversations around the evolving global economic landscape. His role will involve strengthening the initiative’s presence in India and facilitating discussions that connect policymakers, industry leaders, and global stakeholders.
A key milestone for the initiative will be the 2026 Bloomberg New Economy Forum, scheduled to be held in New Delhi. The event is expected to spotlight India’s growing influence in global economic outcomes and serve as a platform for dialogue on pressing issues related to economic growth, innovation, and international cooperation.
Before joining Bloomberg, Lovejeet served as Head of Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Strategic Alliances at the Learning Leadership Foundation, where he played a key role in building partnerships and driving strategic communication initiatives. He also worked as Consulting Editor at India News Business and held the position of Editor-in-Chief and CEO at founderINDIA, gaining extensive experience in journalism and media leadership.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a Lead PR Strategist at GreenCheese, where he developed expertise in communications strategy, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement. With professional experience spanning journalism, corporate communications, and strategic engagement, Lovejeet brings a diverse perspective to his new role.
His appointment comes as Bloomberg continues to expand its New Economy platform globally, with a focus on facilitating conversations around economic change, innovation, and policy, while strengthening India’s participation in shaping the future of global markets.
