Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has locked the release date for his much-anticipated film ‘Spirit’, announcing that the film will arrive in cinemas on March 5, 2027. The announcement has sparked fresh excitement among fans, given the director’s track record of delivering hard-hitting, conversation-starting cinema.
The release update was shared by Vanga on his X handle on Friday. As per a PTI report, the film is being produced by the director himself under his banner, Bhadrakali Pictures, and features Prabhas in the lead role alongside Triptii Dimri. ‘Spirit’ marks a significant collaboration, bringing together Vanga’s intense storytelling style and Prabhas’ larger-than-life screen presence.
While details about the storyline remain tightly under wraps, the film has already generated strong buzz, largely due to the director’s previous successes. Vanga has carved a distinct space in contemporary Indian cinema with films such as ‘Arjun Reddy’, ‘Kabir Singh’ and, most recently, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Animal’, all of which drew massive attention for their raw emotions and uncompromising narratives.
Spirit is expected to be mounted on a grand scale, in keeping with Prabhas’ stature as a pan-India star following the ‘Baahubali’ franchise. Triptii Dimri, who has been steadily gaining recognition for her performances, will be seen sharing screen space with the actor for the first time, adding to the curiosity around the project.
With a confirmed release date now in place, ‘Spirit’ is shaping up to be one of the most awaited films of 2027, as audiences look forward to seeing what Sandeep Reddy Vanga brings to the table in his next cinematic outing.
