US technology giant company Google, is rolling out a new feature for its Phone users which will announce the name and number of any incoming calls – a move to help users screen for unknown calls.
The feature will be rolled out in the Android device with Google Phone App.
Presently, the Google Pixel owners in the US have received the automatic Call Screen feature, and now the other countries will also get the new feature soon
Users can set whether they want the app to announce the caller ID whenever the phone rings, or when the earphones were on.
To enable this feature, the User has to open google Phone, go to Settings, and then Caller ID announcement. The “Announce Caller ID” is disabled by default but they can choose between “Always”, “Only when using a headset”, or “Never”.
iOS devices already have the Caller ID feature enabled, where the Caller ID announcements are a great convenience feature, allowing people with visual impairments to get more easily for knowing who is calling to them.
Earlier, Google announced a Dark Mode feature for their Desktop users for both Windows 10 and macOS platforms.
