Zee 24 Ghanta has launched a new viewer engagement initiative titled ‘24 Ghanta Dekhun Prize Jitun’ (Watch 24 Ghanta & Win Prizes), aimed at rewarding audiences who regularly tune in to the channel’s news programming. The contest goes live from today across Zee 24 Ghanta’s linear and digital platforms, adding an interactive element to everyday news consumption.
Announced through a press release, the initiative reflects the channel’s effort to deepen viewer connect at a time when audiences are consuming news across multiple screens and formats. By linking daily news viewing with participation and rewards, Zee 24 Ghanta is seeking to build stronger, more consistent engagement with its core audience.
As part of the contest format, anchors on Zee 24 Ghanta will pose a question during regular shows. Viewers can participate by sending the correct answer via WhatsApp to the channel’s official number, 85888 66174. Five winners will be selected each day and will receive Amazon vouchers, making the contest a daily opportunity for viewers to engage and win.
In addition to the daily rewards, the contest also features a weekly component. One winner will be chosen through a lucky draw each week, with the bumper prize being awarded to both the selected viewer and the associated Local Cable Operator (LCO). All winners will be announced the following day across Zee 24 Ghanta’s television and digital platforms, ensuring visibility and transparency around the results.
Speaking on the launch, Pew Roy, Deputy Editor, Zee 24 Ghanta, said the initiative is designed to encourage closer engagement with the channel’s daily programming while maintaining a strong focus on credible and relevant news. He noted that trust is built through consistency and relevance, and 24 Ghanta Dekhun Prize Jitun aims to keep viewers connected with the news they rely on every day, without compromising the editorial standards that define the channel’s journalism.
With this initiative, Zee 24 Ghanta continues to experiment with audience-centric formats that strengthen participation while remaining firmly anchored in its news-first approach. The contest underscores the channel’s broader strategy of blending credible journalism with innovative viewer engagement in a competitive news landscape.
Zee 24 Ghanta is part of Zee Media Corporation Limited, one of India’s leading media companies, which operates 19 news channels across genres and reaches over 555 million viewers through its linear platforms.
