Zee Telugu is set to serve viewers a festive double dose of entertainment this Sunday with the World Television Premiere of the comedy-drama ‘Mithra Mandali’, followed by its grand ‘Sankranthi’ special show ‘Sankranthi Allullu Pandagaki Vastunnaru’. The channel will air ‘Mithra Mandali’ on January 11 at 3.30 pm, with the ‘Sankranthi’ celebration taking over the prime slot at 6 pm.
According to a report, ‘Mithra Mandali’, directed by Vijayender S, promises a laughter-filled narrative centred on Chaitanya, played by Priyadarshi, and his close group of friends. What begins as a simple effort to help a friend find love soon descends into chaos when they cross paths with Swecha, portrayed by social media star Niharika NM, who happens to be the daughter of a powerful politician. Packed with misunderstandings, comic twists and situational humour, the film brings together an ensemble cast featuring Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi and Prasad Behara alongside Priyadarshi, who once again anchors the story with his trademark timing.
The festive mood continues with ‘Sankranthi Allullu Pandagaki Vastunnaru’, a star-studded special designed to celebrate the spirit of Sankranthi with humour, music and celebrity appearances. Hosted by Pradeep Machiraju and Sudheer, the show opens on a playful note as director Anil Ravipudi takes aim at the hosts in a light-hearted roast, setting the tone for an evening of banter and fun. The energy is further lifted with a recreation of the iconic Mega Victory song, adding to the celebratory vibe.
Romance and comedy blend seamlessly as fans express their admiration for the hosts through songs, letters and performances, only to be met with witty counterattacks from Pradeep and Sudheer. The DJ Kids bring in added charm with skits imagining the hosts’ lives after marriage, while a quirky segment inspired by ‘Bhartha Mahasayulaku Vignapthi’ keeps the laughs rolling. The show reaches its peak with the grand entry of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, joined by Dimple Hayati and Ashika Rangnath, followed by energetic folk dance performances and a comic horoscope act by Irya.
Bringing glamour to the finale, the leading ladies from Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘The Raja Saab’—Niddhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar—make a special appearance. With a mix of cinema, comedy and festive cheer, Zee Telugu’s Sunday lineup aims to make Sankranthi celebrations at home both lively and memorable.
