The latest season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ concluded on a high note on December 30, leaving viewers and the studio audience spellbound as Amitabh Bachchan delivered an extraordinary 32-minute non-stop singing performance during the grand finale.
The rare moment transformed the quiz show’s closing episode into a heartfelt musical celebration, marking one of the most memorable finales in the show’s long history.
According to a UNI report, the emotional sequence unfolded after a specially curated audio-visual montage traced the journey of the season, highlighting inspiring stories, defining moments, and the bond shared between contestants and the host. The montage visibly moved everyone present on set, including Bachchan himself, setting the tone for what followed.
In an effort to lift the mood and bring the evening to a joyous close, Bachchan took centre stage and began singing, continuing uninterrupted for over half an hour. The audience soon rose to their feet, clapping, cheering and singing along, as the atmosphere turned electric with nostalgia and celebration.
During the impromptu performance, Bachchan revisited several of his timeless songs that generations have grown up with. The medley included favourites such as ‘Hori Khele Raghuveera’ from ‘Baghban’, ‘Rang Barse Bheege Chunarwali’ from ‘Silsila’, ‘Chalat Musafir’ from ‘Teesri Kasam’, and ‘Mere Angne Mein’ from ‘Laawaris’, along with a special traditional number that added a cultural touch to the evening.
As ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ drew curtains on another successful season on December 30, the finale stood out not just for its emotional depth but for the sheer spontaneity and warmth of Bachchan’s gesture. The moment once again underlined why Bachchan is more than just the host of the show—he remains its enduring soul, bringing together grace, emotion and an unmatched connect with audiences across generations.
