Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan-starrer ‘Parasakthi’ is set to arrive in cinemas earlier than planned, with the makers confirming a theatrical release on January 10, 2026. The film, which also features Ravi Mohan, marks one of the most awaited Tamil releases of the coming year.
According to a PTI report, the decision to prepone the release was announced by production banner Dawn Pictures through an official post on its Instagram handle on Monday. The film was earlier slated to release on January 14, coinciding with the Pongal festival window.
In its statement, Dawn Pictures said the change in release date was finalised after detailed discussions with exhibitors and distributors. “The release of ‘Parasakthi’ has been preponed to January 10, 2026. This decision has been taken after extensive discussions and repeated requests from exhibitors and distributors, who have expressed strong confidence in the film’s theatrical potential during this period,” the note read.
The banner also confirmed that ‘Parasakthi’ will now release in theatres worldwide on the revised date.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, ‘Parasakthi’ is described as a political historical drama set in the 1960s. The film brings together a strong ensemble cast including Atharvaa and Sreeleela alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan, adding to the anticipation around the project.
On the technical front, the film features music composed by G V Prakash Kumar, with cinematography handled by Ravi K Chandran and editing by Sathish Suriya.
