As the festive season gathers pace with lights, music and celebration, Shemaroo Entertainment has chosen to mark Christmas with a softer, more reflective note.
The company has unveiled its new Christmas campaign titled ‘Kindnessbadhayegoodness’, a heartfelt film that underscores how small, thoughtful actions can quietly create moments of deep joy and connection.
According to a press release issued by the company, the campaign is set against the calm backdrop of a Goan village and unfolds through a simple yet emotionally resonant story. It follows two young siblings and a firefly that becomes central to the narrative. A young boy finally manages to catch the firefly he has been chasing, only for his sister to gently remind him that caring sometimes means letting go. This small act of empathy becomes the soul of the film, leading to a tender Christmas moment where kindness comes full circle, not as a reward, but as a shared sense of wonder.
The film blends realism with a touch of quiet magic, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas — one rooted in connection, generosity and togetherness rather than grand gestures. The campaign also showcases Shemaroo Entertainment’s growing focus on innovation, with the brand using AI-led creative tools to enhance visual storytelling while keeping emotions at the forefront.
Arghya Chakravarty, Chief Operating Officer, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., said the campaign reflects the company’s belief in the power of simple storytelling. “We wanted to look at kindness in its most understated form — a small decision, a moment of empathy. What this film shows is that kindness, when offered without expectation, often finds its way back. These moments quietly shape the world around us, sometimes in ways we do not anticipate,” he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Anuja Trivedi, Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., noted that festive stories resonate most when they feel genuine. “Christmas is often associated with giving, but the emotion behind it matters more than the act itself. This campaign does not talk about grand gestures. It focuses on a child’s choice to care. That is where the real magic lies. Even the smallest kindness can light up many lives,” she said.
The campaign is closely aligned with Shemaroo Entertainment’s long-standing brand philosophy of ‘India Khush Hua’, reinforcing the idea that joy grows when it is shared. With ‘Kindnessbadhayegoodness’, the company invites audiences to pause amid the festive rush and reflect on the quiet power of compassion.
This Christmas, Shemaroo Entertainment’s message is simple yet profound — sometimes, all it takes is one small light to brighten everything around it.
