Aditya Swamy, a seasoned media and marketing executive with over two decades of experience across leading consumer and digital brands, has been elevated to the position of Managing Director at Google Play.
In his new role, Swamy will oversee Google Play’s business across 14 countries, including India, Southeast Asia, and Australia, as the company continues to strengthen its app economy and deepen its digital reach in the region.
According to a Storyboard18 report, Swamy’s expanded mandate includes working closely with developers, startups, and investors to scale Google Play’s ecosystem. He also spearheads Google’s engagement with early-stage startups in India through the Google for Startups initiative, fostering collaboration between founders and venture capital firms to accelerate the growth of digital-first enterprises.
