The Maruti Suzuki Arena Hyderabad Comic Con, powered by Crunchyroll, in collaboration with Dreamhack India, concluded its spectacular three-day run from October 31 to November 2 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre.
The event brought together over 40,000 fans of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, and pop culture under one roof, turning the city into a vibrant hub of creativity and fandom.
As per a press release, the convention was organized by Comic Con India under the aegis of NODWIN Gaming and featured an extraordinary lineup of guests, creators, and performances. Among the highlights were appearances by international guests Mike Costa — the writer and executive producer known for Netflix’s Lucifer — and acclaimed comic artist J. Gonzo, celebrated for his work on ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, ‘Ghost Rider’, and ‘Alien’. Seventeen comic artists, nine live performers, and over 80 exhibitors from across India made the event a cultural extravaganza unlike any other.
The convention floor buzzed with excitement as brands and creators engaged audiences through interactive experiences. Maruti Suzuki entertained visitors with its reflex gaming challenge and an impressive automobile showcase, while Crunchyroll’s anime booth drew massive crowds with an all-day playlist that had fans vibing non-stop. PANFEST at Android Land proved to be a crowd favorite, giving BGMI fans a chance to battle it out in open lobby tournaments.
Adding to the immersive experience, Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle introduced a special VR zone that allowed attendees to step into their iconic story worlds. The Running Man Rage Room gave fans a playful outlet to vent their energy, while other zones such as Predator Badlands and Zootopia 2 added unique thematic attractions. The event also hosted the Hyderabad Qualifiers of the Indian Championship of Cosplay 2026, where Pracheta Banerjee emerged as the city winner, bagging a cash prize of ₹50,000 and earning a spot at the national finals.
DreamHack India, which marked its sixth anniversary this year, added another layer of excitement to the festivities. The country’s largest digital festival featured a retro gaming zone, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) setups, chess tournaments in Rapid and Blitz formats, and the high-stakes KO Fight Night. KMR YoshiKiller clinched the Tekken 8 title, winning ₹1,00,000, while JLQ Hallmark triumphed in Super Smash Bros to claim Rs.40,000.
Gaming enthusiasts were thrilled at the Meet & Greet Zone, powered by RNT (Revenant Esports), where they interacted with popular creators like Scout, Kaashvi, Sensei IGL, Ghatak, and Trace GOD. The Red Bull Tetris National Finals brought additional star power, featuring Red Bull athletes and GodLike creators such as Jonathan, V3nom, Zgod, Sharkshe, Bachu, Dobby Mizo, and Payal. Adding a nostalgic touch, Harun Robert, popularly known as Rob from the beloved show M.A.D., also hosted a special fan session.
Throughout the three days, the convention witnessed energetic live performances from artists including Syed Bashaar, Vivek Muralidharan, Karan Singh, Celinedee Matahari, Kayden Sharma, MC Maahaa, Black Diamond, Geek Fruit, and Team Artista, ensuring a mix of music, humor, and fan interaction that elevated the overall experience.
