The much-anticipated Dugga Dugga Festival, organised by 93.5 RED FM, concluded on a high note in New Delhi marking its grand debut in the capital and officially ushering in the Durga Puja.
The festival, which has previously seen three successful editions in Kolkata, expanded this year to include both Kolkata and Delhi, bringing together a diverse crowd of music lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and families.
According to an ANI report, the Delhi edition drew a largely Bengali audience—around 80 percent—with the remaining 20 percent comprising non-Bengalis, highlighting the festival’s pan-community appeal. The stadium reverberated with the rhythm of dhak beats, traditional performances, and modern acts, creating an immersive festive atmosphere that blended heritage with contemporary entertainment.
The evening featured an impressive line-up of performances. Dona Ganguly and her troupe set a devotional tone with an exquisite Odissi recital, Anjan Dutta charmed audiences with his timeless melodies, and the Anupam Roy Band infused modern vibrancy. The night culminated with a soul-stirring performance by National Award-winner Iman Chakraborty, leaving the audience enthralled.
Commenting on the festival, Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO, RED FM & Magic FM, said, “The Dugga Dugga Festival is more than just an event; it’s a vibrant confluence of music, art, and tradition that celebrates the spirit of Durga Puja in its truest form. Bringing this festival to Delhi for the first time and witnessing such an overwhelming response has been humbling and exhilarating. Tickets sold out a month in advance, and a packed house proved that celebrations know no boundaries.”
