MY FM, the radio arm of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has strengthened its presence in India with the addition of 14 new cities to its network. With this expansion, MY FM now operates across 44 cities, making it one of the largest radio networks in the country.
The new licenses were granted in the Batch III Phase III auction conducted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB). The auction process concluded smoothly, with MY FM emerging as the biggest gainer, bagging the highest number of new cities. The fresh additions include Bhilwara, Sri Ganganagar, Pali, Sikar, and Alwar in Rajasthan; Bhuj, Gandhidham, and Daman in Gujarat; Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, and Ambala in Haryana; along with Rewa and Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. All 14 stations are expected to start broadcasting by the end of this year.
Since its inception in 2006, MY FM has adopted a bottom-up strategy, building its presence in Tier II and Tier III cities across eight states. The network has carved a niche for itself by connecting with local audiences and curating content that resonates with regional tastes. With its brand ethos ‘Chalo Achcha Sunte Hain’, the channel has consistently fostered an emotional bond with its listeners while balancing information, entertainment, and community-driven messaging.
Radio continues to remain one of the most trusted mediums for communication in India. Its reach, especially in smaller towns, coupled with growing popularity among the youth, positions MY FM strongly in the competitive radio industry. With its latest expansion, the network looks set to further consolidate its presence as a go-to destination for local entertainment and information.
