Disney+ has strengthened its international leadership team for Disney+ by appointing Tony Zameczkowski as Senior Vice President and General Manager for its Direct-to-Consumer division across the Asia Pacific region. The move reflects Disney’s continued focus on expanding its streaming footprint in a market that has become increasingly critical for the company’s growth.
According to a press release from Disney+, Zameczkowski brings more than 25 years of experience in the global media and entertainment industry. He previously served as Vice President for APAC at Netflix, where he also held the role of Regional Co-Head and Head of Partnership. Before that, he worked with Warner Bros. in Paris and at YouTube, building a strong reputation for driving digital and content strategies across international markets.
In his new role, Zameczkowski will oversee the development and expansion of Disney+ in the APAC region, reporting directly to Luke Kang, President of The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, and Joe Earley, President, Direct-to-Consumer at Disney Entertainment. The company said his appointment takes effect immediately.
“We are thrilled to have Tony lead our direct-to-consumer business as we continue to bolster Disney+ across APAC,” Luke Kang said in a statement, underscoring the company’s commitment to building a stronger presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.
Disney+ has enjoyed significant traction in Asia Pacific in recent years, with regional originals like Moving, Big Bet, and Snowdrop gaining popularity among audiences. The platform is also lining up fresh content, including the much-anticipated series Tempest and other titles tailored to local viewers.
With Zameczkowski at the helm, Disney+ aims to build on this momentum, expanding its subscriber base and deepening its engagement with audiences across a diverse and competitive streaming landscape in APAC.
