Sony SAB, part of Sony Pictures Networks India, has roped in Gautam Jain as its new lead for content development. A seasoned professional with over 17 years in the media and entertainment industry, Jain brings with him a rich mix of experience in content strategy, marketing, consumer insights, and business growth.
The appointment was confirmed through his LinkedIn post where he shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Lead – Content Development, Sony SAB at Sony Pictures Networks India!”.
Over the course of his career, Jain has held leadership roles across several prominent media companies. He spent more than a decade at Ormax Media, rising to the role of partner and business head of film, and has helmed consulting projects with Amenic Entertainment. Earlier, he worked with Mirchi Movies, contributing to production, marketing, and distribution.
An alumnus of MICA with a PGDM, and an engineering graduate from Walchand Institute of Technology, Jain has earned a reputation for driving innovation and delivering strong business results. In his previous mandates, he steered projects that generated a 25 percent compound annual growth rate in revenue, marking him as a leader with a proven ability to blend creativity with business acumen.
At Sony SAB, Jain is expected to channel his extensive expertise into curating and developing new stories that align with the channel’s vision of offering family-friendly entertainment, while expanding its reach in India’s highly competitive general entertainment space.
