Get ready for an action-packed weekend as Baby John, the high-octane entertainer starring Varun Dhawan, makes its World TV premiere on Sunday, July 27 at 8pm, only on Zee Cinema. Promising a perfect mix of action, emotion, and mass appeal, the film is a complete entertainer for audiences across age groups.
As shared in a press release, ‘Baby John’ is directed by Kalees and brought to screens by Jio Studios, Atlee, A For Apple Studios, and Cine 1 Production. The film promises a thrilling ride filled with stylized action sequences, comic relief, and a deeply emotional father-daughter storyline at its core.
Headlining the cast is Varun Dhawan in a dynamic role that shifts between charm and intensity. He’s joined by National Award-winner Keerthy Suresh and the ever-versatile Wamiqa Gabbi, who bring emotional gravitas to the film. Jackie Shroff plays the menacing antagonist, adding a layer of danger and unpredictability to the narrative. The energy of the film gets a further boost with the catchy chartbuster ‘Nain Matakka’, featuring the popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, setting the perfect tempo for a mass entertainer.
Talking about the film, Varun Dhawan said, “I’ve always enjoyed playing massy, happy-go-lucky characters and this film has that and much more. Baby John gave me a chance to explore intense space as well. I’m excited that Baby John is now reaching a wide audience through Zee Cinema—it’s a story and performance I’ve poured myself into.”
Keerthy Suresh, who plays a key emotional role in the film, added, “For me, family has always been everything. This film to me is a reflection of that very sentiment and I hope it touches your heart too. Catch the premiere on Zee Cinema.”
Sharing her experience, Wamiqa Gabbi said, “Baby John was a big learning experience for me because the world of the film is so intense and fast-paced but we have all given our best. I truly value the trust between us, director, cast & crew, and I’m so happy that audiences on Zee Cinema will get to experience this film.”
The story follows a former cop living a quiet life to protect his daughter from a haunting past. But when an old adversary resurfaces, he is forced back into the world he left behind. Packed with drama, powerful action, and tender emotional beats, Baby John asks a powerful question—can he protect his daughter and finally put his demons to rest?
