NDTV Alive has officially announced the appointment of Rashid Khan as its new Director Operations, marking a strategic move as the company continues to expand its footprint across the media and experiential entertainment landscape. With over two decades of leadership across media, sports, and live entertainment, Rashid brings a rich blend of strategic insight, operational agility, and entrepreneurial flair.
In an internal note signed by Chief People Officer Purva Misra, NDTV Alive welcomed Rashid, spotlighting his transformative contributions in past roles. Formerly the CEO of Significant Sports, Rashid played a pivotal role in creating innovative formats such as the T10 Super Tennis-Cricket League, the Bihar Cricket League, and the acclaimed Kumite 1 League that featured global boxing legend Mike Tyson. He was also instrumental in launching India’s first live dance reality format, I AM DANCE — a breakthrough in integrating live performance with digital engagement.
His portfolio reflects extensive experience in large-scale event execution, brand partnerships, and revenue strategy, including mobilising multi-crore sponsorships and leading over 150-member teams. His work spans both Indian and international markets, with a consistent focus on commercially successful and culturally resonant formats.
As Rashid steps into this leadership role, NDTV Alive is preparing to unveil an exciting new slate of verticals and IPs. These include Alive Experiential, a flagship events arm that will produce large-format on-ground IPs blending entertainment, culture, and current affairs; Alive Originals, a digital-first content studio developing youth-focused series and unscripted formats; and Alive Sports+, a new sports vertical aimed at immersive fan experiences and mid-tier league storytelling.
These new ventures are designed to complement NDTV Alive’s broader mission of delivering 360-degree audience engagement, both on-ground and across digital platforms, while building content communities that resonate with India’s evolving viewer base.
The team at NDTV Alive expressed optimism about the path ahead, noting that Rashid’s deep-rooted industry knowledge and forward-looking approach will play a key role in scaling the brand’s impact and innovation. The announcement encouraged teams and collaborators to extend a warm welcome to Rashid as he begins this exciting new chapter.
