In a major collaboration, Excel Entertainment has joined hands with Anupam Kher Studios to take the globally acclaimed film ‘Tanvi The Great’ to audiences across the world. Directed by veteran actor Anupam Kher, the film is set for a worldwide release on July 18, 2025, and is being distributed globally by AA Films in partnership with Excel Entertainment, the production house helmed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
The film, which has already made an impression on the global festival circuit — including marquee screenings at Cannes and the New York Indian Film Festival — is being lauded for its powerful storytelling and emotional resonance. ‘Tanvi The Great’ narrates the journey of a spirited girl who, in the face of overwhelming odds, transforms her struggle into a story of triumph. With themes of hope, love, and resilience at its core, the film promises to be a deeply moving cinematic experience.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ritesh Sidhwani said, “Tanvi The Great is a film that resonates deeply with universal emotions and the power of the human spirit. We’re honoured to partner with Anupam Kher Studios to bring this moving story to audiences across the globe.”
Echoing the sentiment, Farhan Akhtar added, “The vision and passion behind ‘Tanvi The Great’ are truly inspiring. We at Excel are excited to support this beautiful film and help it find the audience it deserves worldwide.”
Anupam Kher expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “I’ve always admired the incredible storytelling and vision of Excel Entertainment. Thrilled to have them come on board for ‘Tanvi The Great’. Their support strengthens our journey in taking this inspiring film to greater heights!”
The film features a stellar cast, including Anupam Kher himself alongside Iain Glen, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker, M. Nasser, and debutant Shubhangi. The music is composed by Oscar-winner M. M. Keeravani, adding further gravitas to the project.
Co-produced by Anupam Kher Studios and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), ‘Tanvi The Great’ promises to be a heartwarming saga told with cinematic brilliance. With Excel Entertainment now on board, the film is poised to reach a global audience with the visibility and support it deserves.
