Z Bharat hosts conclave on Indian MSMEs

Z Bharat hosted its landmark MSME-focused conclave, ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’, on June 16 at the Bharat Mandapam, honouring the true economic champions of India — the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In a time when India’s economic rise is making global headlines, this event served as a powerful tribute to the grassroots enterprises shaping the country’s future through innovation, employment, and resilience.

According to a press release, regional channel Z Bharat, the conclave witnessed participation from several Union Ministers, industry stalwarts, and grassroots entrepreneurs. From transformative infrastructure plans to policy reforms and the rise of local innovation, the day-long conclave celebrated the contribution of over 6 crore MSMEs that collectively generate 28 crore jobs across the country.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari presented a sweeping vision for infrastructure-led economic revival, announcing that Rs.3.85 lakh crore worth of stalled projects had been resolved. He also unveiled a Rs.40,000 crore national mission to eliminate accident-prone road black spots and spotlighted mega expressways like the Delhi–Dehradun corridor. MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasised that India’s real economic power lies not in its boardrooms but in its villages, towns, and small factories.

Harsh Malhotra, MoS for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport, highlighted the impact of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) systems, which have reached over 140 crore beneficiaries, saving ₹3.5 lakh crore and accelerating bureaucratic processes — including slashing company registration time to just three days.

Former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain shared success stories from Bihar, where ethanol production units and food parks are rebranding the state’s economy. Minister of State Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel spoke with emotion about the human impact of schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, crediting the Modi government’s “clean governance” for inclusive development.

‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ wasn’t just about speeches — it brought grassroots innovation to the forefront. Entrepreneurs from across India shared their journeys of building sustainable and scalable businesses through tech-driven practices like drone usage, paperless processes, and smart logistics. The conclave offered insights into sectors like sustainable furniture, agri-tech, FMCG, and rural manufacturing — all contributors to the 17% GDP share of the Indian manufacturing sector.

Z Bharat’s Editor, Santosh Kumar, described the event as “an editorial pledge to honour the visionaries who power the real economy.” He added that Z Bharat stands firmly with the entrepreneurs who are “laying the foundation for the India of tomorrow.” Echoing this thought, Zee Media CEO Karan Abhishek Singh said, “MSMEs are the heart of our economy, and we will continue to support their journey with platforms that inform, empower, and celebrate.”

The conclave was made possible with the support of key partners including Servokon, Fine, Figo India, and SAGE University, along with special partnerships from institutions like SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Dev Bhoomi University, and others.

As India aims to become the world’s third-largest economy, ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ stood as a timely reminder that the real engine of this growth is not just in tall buildings, but in the hands of millions of small businesses across Bharat who are turning ambition into action, every single day.
