Diljit Dosanjh fans have a reason to rejoice as the much-anticipated teaser of ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ is finally out — and it promises a spooky yet side-splitting adventure! Set to hit theatres on June 27, the third instalment of the beloved Punjabi horror-comedy franchise sees Dosanjh reprise his role as a quirky ghost hunter, this time up against a mysterious and powerful spirit haunting a mansion in the United Kingdom.
Directed by Amar Hundal, ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ also features an impressive ensemble cast including Neeru Bajwa, Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, Jasmin Bajwa, and Sapna Pabbi, all of whom are seen in prominent roles that bring the spooky story to life with humour, drama, and action.
According to ANI, the teaser begins with a team of armed men entering one of the “most haunted castles” in the UK. But what appears to be a straightforward ghost-hunting mission turns chaotic when they are instantly defeated by a supernatural entity. With nowhere else to turn, the castle’s owner calls in Dosanjh’s character to take on the spectral threat.
What follows is a blend of absurd comedy and action. In one scene, Dosanjh’s character is seen arguing with his in-house witches, who ask for a medical kit, a makeup box, and other random items before the ghost battle begins. In true Diljit style, the teaser ends with a hilarious punchline — he’s seen confronting the ghost angrily, not because of the haunting, but because the spirit failed to respectfully say “Ji” after “Sardaar.”
Taking to his official Instagram, Dosanjh shared the teaser with fans, ramping up excitement and bringing back the quirky charm that made the first two films instant hits. The teaser video is already gaining traction on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting another dose of horror, humour, and heart.
The ‘Sardaar Ji’ franchise began in 2015 with a record-breaking first film directed by Rohit Jugraj, starring Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, and Mandy Takhar. It quickly cemented its place as a fan-favourite in Punjabi cinema, with ‘Sardaar Ji 2’ following in 2016. Now, nearly a decade later, ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ is bringing back the madness with an all-new haunted challenge and a nostalgic blend of comedy and fantasy.
With the teaser now out and reactions pouring in, all eyes are on June 27 when Diljit’s ghost-hunting madness returns to theatres.
