In a major step towards unifying the OTT streaming experience for Filipino viewers, Cignal Super – the country’s first-of-its-kind OTT aggregation platform – is now officially live. Built in collaboration with Tata Play Binge’s white-label solution, the platform brings together popular global and regional entertainment apps under one seamless interface, following a successful pilot rollout.
According to a press note issued by Tata Play, Cignal Super aims to simplify access to premium digital content for Filipino audiences by integrating at least eight top entertainment services into a single subscription. This includes MAX, VIU, Lionsgate Play, Hallmark+, Curiosity Stream, Fuse+, Pilipinas Live, and Cignal Play – all accessible via one login, one search, and one intuitive interface.
The service is hosted on Tata Play Binge’s scalable cloud infrastructure and is designed to deliver a frictionless OTT experience. The launch positions Cignal Super as a pioneering digital entertainment gateway in the Philippines and extends Tata Play Binge’s presence as a global OTT enabler, having already rolled out a similar model in Bangladesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Harit Nagpal, MD & CEO of Tata Play, said, “The launch of Cignal Super is a proud moment for Tata Play Binge white-label solution. Our PaaS model is helping leading broadcasters and telecom providers go digital with speed, efficiency and scale. After a successful partnership in Bangladesh and now with Cignal in the Philippines, it’s exciting to see Indian technology enabling local champions to elevate entertainment experiences in their markets.”
Echoing the enthusiasm, Jane Jimenez-Basas, President and CEO of Cignal, said, “Cignal is happy to partner with Tata Play for the launch of Cignal Super, the Philippines’ pioneering streaming aggregator. This collaboration allows Cignal to deliver a world-class entertainment experience to Filipino viewers, at home and on the go. With over 70 million smartphone users in the Philippines, Cignal Super is set to revolutionize how Filipinos enjoy their favorite content.”
She further added, “This partnership with Tata Play represents a significant step in Cignal’s continuing evolution and reaffirms our commitment to bringing joy, providing the best value, and creating shared experiences for Filipinos everywhere by delivering the content that they love.”
The launch reflects Tata Play Binge’s broader global strategy of empowering regional partners with its future-ready tech stack under the vision of ‘Local Going Global’. With this rollout, the platform is set to redefine the OTT experience across emerging digital economies, enabling broadcasters and telcos to fast-track their digital journeys at scale.
