For generations, the third bell (teesri ghanta) has marked the beginning of a theatrical performance, drawing audiences into the world of drama, comedy, and storytelling. Ultra Jhakaas OTT is now rekindling this tradition by bringing timeless Marathi plays to digital screens, featuring legendary artists such as: ‘Macchindra Kambli’, ‘Vijay Chavan’, ‘Laxmikant Berde’, ‘Nilu Phule’, ‘Bharat Jadhav’, ‘Nirmitee Sawant’, ‘Prashant Damle’.
Plays like ‘Shrimant Damodar Pant’, ‘Yada Kadachit 1 & 2’, ‘Jau Bai Jorat’, ‘Double Cross’, ‘Magani Taso Purvaṭo’, ‘Sagale Sabhya Purush’, ‘Kumari Gangubai Metric’, ‘Suryast’, and ‘Chawl Navachi Khatyal Vasti’ will be available for streaming, allowing both longtime theatre lovers and new audiences to experience the rich heritage of Marathi drama.
The campaign extends beyond digital streaming, with interactive social media contests, online discussions, and digital promotions throughout April, encouraging younger audiences to explore the vibrant world of Marathi theatre.
Sushilkumar Agrawal, Founder & CEO of Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, emphasized the significance of the initiative, stating, “Marathi theatre has always been a powerhouse of storytelling, humor, and cultural reflection. With ‘Teesri Ghanta, Punha Ekda,’ we are making these classics accessible to today’s generation while preserving the legacy of Rangbhoomi.”
