ZEE TV’s flagship music reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, achieved a historic milestone as two of its star contestants, Shradha Mishra and Parvathi Meenakshi, performed at two of the UK’s most iconic venues.
The duo enthralled audiences with their mesmerizing performances at BP Pulse Birmingham on January 25 and the prestigious OVO Arena Wembley in London on January 26, marking a proud moment for Indian music on the global stage.
For the first time, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ contestants showcased their talent at the Wembley Arena, a venue that has previously hosted legendary Indian artists like Asha Bhosle, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, and Shreya Ghoshal. Their powerful and soulful renditions not only captivated the audience but also underscored the platform’s ability to nurture raw talent and propel aspiring singers onto international stages.
Adding to this momentous occasion, Shradha and Parvathi were specially invited to perform at the High Commission of India’s Republic Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony in London on January 26. They delivered moving renditions of patriotic classics ‘Pardes – Yeh Mera India’ and ‘Karma – Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge’, stirring emotions among the distinguished dignitaries and guests present. Their heartfelt performances celebrated Indian heritage and musical excellence, making the event even more memorable.
Reflecting on this achievement, Punit Goenka, CEO of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited, expressed his pride in ZEE TV’s commitment to showcasing Indian artistry on a global platform. “At ZEE, we believe in empowering talent, breaking barriers, and elevating Indian culture on the world stage. The incredible performances by our Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contestants at Wembley, especially as part of the Republic Day celebrations in London, stand as a testament to this vision,” he said.
This landmark moment reinforces ZEE TV’s pioneering role in creating groundbreaking opportunities for Indian talent. By offering its contestants the chance to perform at globally recognized venues and fostering cultural pride, ZEE continues to set new benchmarks in the entertainment industry. With this remarkable feat, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ has further solidified its legacy as a platform that transforms dreams into reality and bridges Indian music with the global audience.
