Network18, in collaboration with Ola Electric, is set to launch ‘Green Bharat’, a landmark annual conclave on December 13, 2024, in New Delhi. This initiative marks a crucial step in India’s journey towards sustainable mobility by addressing the economic, environmental, and societal benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) while tackling the key challenges that hinder their widespread adoption.
Designed as a multi-platform movement, Green Bharat will span television, digital platforms, print, and on-ground activations. This comprehensive approach ensures extensive coverage of India’s vast EV landscape, fostering innovation and collaboration across the ecosystem.
Avinash Kaul, CEO of Network18 (Broadcast) and Managing Director of AETN18, remarked, “Green Bharat is more than just an event; it’s a movement that brings together the EV community, highlighting the transformative potential of this sector. Our partnership with Ola Electric reflects a shared vision of a sustainable, electrified future.”
The inaugural edition of the conclave will feature esteemed policymakers and industry leaders, including Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, as Guests of Honour. Their presence underscores the critical role of government policies in driving India’s green transition.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on the “silent revolution” of EVs as a cornerstone of India’s green growth reflects the nation’s commitment to addressing climate change. Sustained investments in EV infrastructure, local manufacturing, and technological innovation are positioning India as a global hub for electric mobility.
The Green Bharat conclave will serve as a transformative platform for meaningful discussions, policy advocacy, and actionable solutions. Topics will include innovation in EV technology, scaling infrastructure, and addressing challenges within the ecosystem.
Network18’s initiative aims to set a clear roadmap for positioning India as a global EV leader while inspiring collective action towards environmental responsibility. By bringing together stakeholders across sectors, Green Bharat seeks to accelerate EV adoption and pave the way for a sustainable future.
