Meta has launched its new safety initiative, ‘Scams Se Bacho’, partnering with Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana to raise awareness about online scams and promote safer digital practices.
This campaign is designed to educate users on how to protect themselves from cyber frauds, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), The Economic Times has reported.
As online scams become increasingly sophisticated, Meta’s campaign aims to strengthen its commitment to user safety on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The initiative showcases real-life scenarios, where people unknowingly fall prey to scams, highlighting the importance of staying cautious and informed. The campaign also emphasizes Meta’s safety features, such as two-factor authentication, Block and Report, and WhatsApp’s group privacy settings, which are key tools in safeguarding users from potential threats.
