Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has etched his name in history by selling out the ‘largest ever Punjabi show outside India’ during the North American leg of his ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’.
Launching his tour on Saturday night, Dosanjh captivated over 50,000 concert attendees at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Canada, with his electrifying performances of hits like ‘GOAT’, ‘5 Taara’, ‘Lover’, ‘Kinni Kinni’, and ‘Ishq Mitaye’, the popular track from his recent film release ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’.
Taking to his Instagram page on Sunday, the singer shared a series of pictures and videos from the sensational show, proudly proclaiming, “HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. BC PLACE STADIUM SOLD OUT. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR.”
In one of the videos, the general manager of BC Place can be seen presenting Dosanjh with a congratulatory plaque for hosting the “largest ever Punjabi show outside India”.
According to Canadian media reports, Dosanjh‘s headline performance marked the first instance in history where a Punjabi music superstar headlined the Vancouver-based arena.
Dosanjh further showcased the triumph of his sold-out show through a video on his Instagram Stories, featuring a massive billboard displaying “Sold Out”.
BC Place expressed their admiration for Dosanjh’s achievement in a post on X, stating, “HISTORY is made. Take a bow, @diljitdosanjh.”
Continuing his tour, Dosanjh is set to perform in Calgary, Winnipeg, and Edmonton in Canada before embarking on the US leg of his journey. The North American leg of his tour will culminate in Toronto on July 13.
