Aaj Tak, India’s leading Hindi news channel, is once again breaking barriers in news broadcasting with its groundbreaking initiative, ‘Rajtilak.’ Departing from conventional election coverage, ‘Rajtilak’ aims to capture the essence of democracy like never before.
Led by the dynamic anchor Anjana Om Kashyap, ‘Rajtilak’ will embark on an unprecedented journey across 100 cities in India, reaching every corner of the nation with the help of a helicopter. By venturing into even the remotest areas, the program seeks to underscore the significance of every vote and the power of grassroots democracy, the news channel said in a press statement.
Unlike traditional coverage that relies heavily on political analysis and pre-collected data, ‘Rajtilak’ prioritizes the raw and unfiltered opinions of citizens. Every voice will be heard, ensuring that the diverse dreams and aspirations of the Indian electorate are brought to the forefront.
The journey of ‘Rajtilak’ will commence on April 14, 2024, from the state of Uttarakhand, covering cities like Tehri, Rishikesh, and Dehradun in its initial leg. Subsequently, it will traverse through a multitude of cities including Saharanpur, Agra, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and many more, culminating in a comprehensive portrayal of the nation’s pulse.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Rahul Shaw, CEO of TV & Radio at TV Today Network, expressed the channel’s commitment to providing unparalleled coverage of democracy in action. He emphasized that ‘Rajtilak’ would revolutionize election coverage, guaranteeing unprecedented reach and engagement with citizens in live action.
Mr. Sandeep Seksaria, Managing Director of LTK Industries, expressed pride in being associated with this unique initiative. He highlighted the synergy between Aaj Tak’s vision and the communication objectives of their brand Macho Hint, affirming their commitment to being at the forefront of the nation’s socio-political discourse.
Shashi Sinha, CEO of IPG Mediabrands India, echoed similar sentiments, expressing delight in partnering with Aaj Tak and Macho Hint for this innovative program.
The helicopter-powered election coverage by Aaj Tak is poised to be one of the most ambitious initiatives ever undertaken by a news channel in India, promising to bring democracy to every doorstep like never before. ‘Rajtilak’ will air daily at 8 pm on Aaj Tak, ensuring that the nation remains informed and engaged throughout the electoral process.
