WhatsApp, under Meta‘s ownership, is gearing up to introduce a host of new features for Android users, aiming to enhance user experience and transparency within the platform.
One of the notable additions, the ‘Channel Alerts’ feature, set to roll out with the WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.23.26.6 update, will provide real-time information for channel users, IANS reported from San Francisco.
This feature empowers channel administrators with notifications concerning potential policy violations, allowing swift action to request a review and address any suspension issues directly through the Channel Alerts screen. This move is anticipated to bolster transparency and enable proactive management of channel-related concerns.
Alongside Channel Alerts, WhatsApp is poised to introduce two additional features. The first involves optimizing user interface dynamics, hiding navigation labels and the top app bar while scrolling, offering a more immersive chat experience.
This modification allows users a broader view of their chats, call logs, group conversations, and channels. The second feature enables users to search messages by date, streamlining the process of navigating chat history and locating specific messages efficiently.
