Colors Kannada, a leading entertainment channel, is set to introduce ‘Brundavana,’ an innovative family-based fiction show that promises a fresh and engaging storyline, previously unseen in the Kannada General Entertainment Channel (GEC) market.
With the tagline ‘Dodda Mane – Sanna Thappu – Gantu Mooru,’ translating to ‘A grand abode – small mistakes – three knots,’ ‘Brundavana’ will premiere exclusively on Colors Kannada on October 23rd at 8 PM, airing from Monday to Saturday.
Prashanth Nayak, Business Head of Colors Kannada, shared, “In an era where joint families are becoming rare, ‘Brundavana’ features 36 members living under the same roof. The show encapsulates the rustic essence of Kannada culture, where a diverse set of characters coexists in one household, bound by love, affection, and harmony. We are immensely proud to present this beautiful story of ‘Brundavana,’ and with the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami, we are confident that the Navaratri fervor will resonate with our audiences across Karnataka.”
The narrative revolves around an expansive joint family consisting of 36 members. The elderly matriarch, in the twilight of her life, holds a heartfelt desire to witness her grandson, Akash, pursue education abroad and find matrimonial happiness.
The central question arises: Will our protagonist fulfill his grandmother’s last wish, setting the stage for the dramatic dynamics surrounding Akash’s wedding and unveiling the individual storylines of all 36 family members.
Directed by the celebrated Kannada television director, K S Ramji, ‘Brundavana’ is produced by the esteemed Gagana Enterprises banner. Vishwanath Haveri, known for his roles in ‘Kannada Kogile’ and ‘BIGG BOSS Season 8,’ portrays Akash in this captivating show.
The exceptional cast also features promising talents such as Chitkala Biradar from the popular series ‘Kannadathi,’ who played the role of the Grandmother, and the real-life couple Veena and Sundar.
The show boasts 33 other characters, ranging from a 5-year-old child to an 80-year-old man. Moreover, the storyline introduces four additional characters from a different family, enriching the unfolding narrative.
Prepare for the most significant family drama in Kannada GEC – ‘Brundavana,’ exclusively on Colors Kannada, starting from October 23 at 8 PM every Monday to Saturday.
