In honour of World Mental Health Day, Zee Media Corporation Limited, in collaboration with Rotary International (District 3012, Rotary Club of Delhi North), the Cosmos Institute of Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences (CIMBS), New Delhi, and the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), presented the inaugural Global Mindcare Conclave on October 10.
The event served as a powerful global platform to advocate for mental health rights, while also addressing the pressing mental health challenges facing India.
The distinguished Global Mindcare Conclave was inaugurated by former Chief Justice of India, UU Lalit, along with Abhay Ojha, CEO Zee Media, Dr. Lalit Khanna, Immediate Past District Governor of Rotary, and Dr. Sunil Mittal, Vice President of WFMH, according to a press release from ZMCL.
The event focused on this year’s World Mental Health Day theme, ‘Mental Health is a Universal Human Right.’ It provided an inclusive platform for a wide range of mental health stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, non-governmental organizations, caregivers, and individuals with lived experiences of mental health disorders.
The conclave fostered meaningful discussions on overcoming barriers, forging partnerships within the mental health sector, and exploring advancements in mental healthcare.
Abhay Ojha, CEO of Zee Media Corporation Limited, emphasized, “As media advocates, we have a responsibility to promote positive change. The Global Mindcare Conclave is a step forward in uniting like-minded partners to advocate for the right to mental health. Our goal is to amplify the conversation, challenge misconceptions, and foster a more inclusive mental health landscape.”
