Nodwin Gaming‘s Singapore unit has successfully acquired a 100 percent stake in the game marketing agency ‘PublishME’ for $2 million.
This acquisition was made from existing shareholders Nazara Technologies Limited and Ozgur Ozalp, as announced by the company through a press release.
The strategic move is expected to enhance Nodwin Gaming’s existing capabilities to provide solutions to publishers and brands in the esports industry.
Additionally, it marks an important step in expanding the company’s global presence, especially in emerging markets, including the Middle East.
As part of the integration, PublishME will undergo a name change to Nodwin Gaming in the Middle East, while retaining its original name in Turkey. Ozgur Ozalp, the founder of PublishME, will assume the role of CEO for Nodwin Gaming’s Dubai unit.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Nodwin Gaming, expressed his excitement about welcoming PublishME into the Nodwin Gaming family, highlighting the company’s global expansion plans.
Nazara CEO Nitish Mittersain also commented on the transaction, emphasizing the significant synergies between Nodwin Gaming and PublishME. He believes that this acquisition will provide Nodwin Gaming with a stronger foothold in the Middle East esports market.
It’s worth noting that Nodwin Gaming had previously signed agreements to raise $28 million from various investors, including Nazara, Krafton, Sony Group, InnoPark India, and JetSynthesys, as part of its efforts to bolster its presence in the esports and gaming industry.
