Hamid Iqbal, a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry, has taken on the position of Vice President (VP) of Marketing at Vi (Vodafone Idea).
This significant transition comes after Hamid’s successful tenure of over three years as General Manager of Business Management at a leading telecom major, he shared the news on his LinkedIn post.
Hamid’s journey with Vodafone Idea began in August 2018 when he joined as GM-Marketing, following the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular.
Prior to this, he held the position of AGM-Marketing at Idea Cellular for over four-and-a-half years.
His dedication to the telecom sector is further exemplified by his earlier role as Senior Manager at Tata Docomo, where he contributed for four-and-a-half years.
Hamid Iqbal’s career traces back to 2008 when he initially joined Idea Cellular as a Product Manager, a role he served in for nearly one-and-a-half years.
His extensive industry experience also includes associations with prominent names such as Reliance Communications, Reliance Retail, Bharti Airtel, and Asian Paints.
With Hamid Iqbal’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the telecom industry, his appointment as VP-Marketing at Vi is poised to make a significant impact on the company’s marketing strategies and initiatives.
