The Apple Music Classical app is now available for Android users via the Google Play Store.
Apple Music Classical and Apple Music are two separate iPhone apps. The primary distinction between the two apps is the way Apple Music Classical handles metadata.
According to IANS, Apple Music and Apple Music Classical for Android now have the same distinctions.
Apple Music Classical is available to users who subscribe to Apple Music or Apple One.
The app includes ad-free classical music recordings with up to 192 kHz / 24-bit lossless audio, as well as thousands of spatial audio recordings.
On the app, there are currently over five million tracks and 50 million data points with data attributes of 20,000+ composers, 115,000+ unique works, and 350,000+ movements.
In 2021, Apple announced the acquisition of the classical music streaming service Primephonic, apart from plans to launch a classical music app in the future.
Apple Music Classical made its debut on the iPhone in March of this year. Notably, the Android version of the app comes before the iPad and Mac versions.
Meanwhile, Apple has announced that the ‘My Photo Stream’ service will be discontinued on July 26, requiring users who are still using it to migrate to iCloud Photos before that date.
My Photo Stream is a free service that uploads the last 30 days’ worth of images (up to 1,000) to iCloud, allowing them to be accessed via the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC.
