Valerie Pinto, CEO of Weber Shandwick; Ahmed Aftab Naqvi, Global CEO and Co-Founder of Gozoop and Ashwini Deshpande, Co-Founder and Director of Elephant Design will serve as Jury Chairs for the Public Relations, Mobile and Design categories, respectively, at The ABBY One Show Awards 2023.
Pinto is one of India’s youngest CEOs of a large network agency. She works with customers to transform old communication strategies into more integrated services that emphasize campaigns, creativity and content.
She has been nominated to serve on the board of Path in India, a non-profit organization. A TEDx speaker, she appreciates teaching students and young PR professionals.
Naqvi has served on the juries of numerous events, including Cannes, IDMA, DMA Asia, and FoxGloves.
He has the distinction of being invited as a ‘Champion of Change’ by NITI Aayog, the India Government’s policy-making think-tank, for a meeting with Prime Minister Modi.
Naqvi said, “Abby One Show Awards are the gold standard of excellence. I am honoured to be selected as the Jury Chair for the Mobile category. I look forward to awarding the best from the Indian advertising industry.”
Deshpande has been on the Jury at Cannes Lions (France), The One Show (USA), Jury President at D&AD (London), New York Festival (USA), Spikes Asia (Singapore), Design for Asia (Hong Kong) and London International Awards.
Deshpande said, “It is an absolute privilege to be judging the Design category at Abby One Show Awards. India is a unique playground for brands and consumers. I define Design as a creative way of solving a challenge. I am hoping to see great work based on real-life insights that solve a challenge in a delightful way.”
The Abby Awards will be held on May 24-26 during Goafest 2023.
