Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, replaced the microblogging platform’s blue bird homepage logo with the ‘Doge’ meme yesterday.
Musk tweeted, “As promised,” with a screenshot of a tweet discussion he had with a user last year in which they asked him to purchase Twitter and change the bird logo to a doge. Several users shared their reactions to Musk’s statement, ANI reported.
“Promises made, promises kept,” one user said, while another said, “Thanks for making Twitter fun again! To the sky with #Dogecoin!”
Meanwhile, in June of last year, the tech billionaire stated that he would continue to support and purchase Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency he has been vocal about for years.
Musk, dubbed the ‘Dogefather,’ had long been a vocal supporter of Dogecoin and had previously tweeted several times to help boost the price of the digital currency.
