Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has stated that it will place advertisements in the platform’s search results to target users who are actively looking for businesses, products and content.
When visitors tap into a post from search results, ads will appear in the feed that they may scroll through.
“We intend to launch this placement globally in the coming months,” the company wrote on its blog.
Instagram also unveiled ‘Reminder’ advertisements, which are now available to all advertisers as a feed option.
The move is intended to assist advertisers in raising awareness, anticipation, and consideration for upcoming events, IANS reported.
“People can sign up for convenient reminders and receive three notifications from Instagram one day before, 15 minutes before, and during the event,” Instagram explained.
People use Instagram to learn about new brands, products, and upcoming events.
Over the years, the photo and video-sharing site has included an increasing number of advertisements.
Advertisements can now be found on the Explore page, Explore feeds, Reels, Stories, and even user profiles.
