During India Today Conclave 2023, Vice-Chairperson Kalli Purie launched the group’s first bot AI collaborative anchor Sana.
Purie described Sana as “bright, gorgeous, ageless, tireless, speak multiple languages, and is completely under my control.” Sana, Aaj Tak AI’s first anchor, will begin providing daily news updates in multiple languages this week.
Every day, she will explain one topic of relevance in a new show. Sana will also perform a show in which she will answer questions from the audience.
Purie stated, when discussing constant innovation, “Sana does not diminish the brilliance of the real-life anchors who will be mentoring her. Sana will soon have a human surrogate editor and, hopefully, some company.”
Purie stated that humans and AI are not competing and that their collaboration is resulting in creative magic. “The future is both fascinating and terrifying, and it is already here,” she said.
