Tamil GEC Zee Tamil is set to introduce a fresh new narrative that will showcase a truly distinct relationship between a head-strong simple girl and her superficial, yet beauty-obsessed, mother-in-law in ‘Seetha Raman’, which premieres on February 20, 2023, and airs every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm.

‘Seetha Raman’ revolves around an ordinary-looking girl named Seetha who is outspoken, upright, honest and full of life. She is also an accomplished sailor with strong stitching skills and a keen sense of design.

The biggest news, however, is that Seetha will be played by none other than ‘Roja’-famed Priyanka. Juje D’souza plays Raman, on the other hand. Raman, an upright and honest man, has been in charge of his mother’s vast textile empire. Despite his mother’s wishes, he aspires to be a police officer.

Reshma who plays Mahalakshmi (Raman’s mother), is shown as a person who is fond of all her children, but she wants to get her son married to the most beautiful girl in town. She is completely obsessed with superficial beauty and despises anything that isn’t.

The plot revolves around Seetha’s attempts to win her husband’s heart and the hearts of his family members.
