As part of its efforts to strengthen its pre-primetime slots, Zee TV will now air its fiction shows throughout the week, allowing audiences to meet their favorite characters every day!
Zee TV is set to introduce two new shows – ‘Lag Ja Gale’ and ‘Maitree’ – to bolster its pre-primetime slot.
‘Lag Ja Gale’, produced by SOL Productions PVT Ltd. and Sandiip Films, tells the story of Shiv and Ishani, an unlikely couple brought together by unusual circumstances arising from their family dynamics.
‘Maitree’, on the other hand, is a high-octane drama produced by Sunshine Productions about two soul sisters – Maitree and Nandini – whose childhood friendship has turned sour due to a twist of fate.
Set in Delhi, ‘Lag Ja Gale’ follows the journey of Shiv Dhooper (played by actor Namik Paul), an affluent, self-made young Punjabi hotelier, and Ishani Kulkarni (played by Tanisha Mehta), a hard-working Maharashtrian girl who juggles multiple odd jobs as the sole breadwinner for her middle-class family.
Maitree, on the other hand, tells the story of Maitree (played by Shrenu Parikh) and her soul sister Nandini’s love and friendship (played by Bhaweeka Chaudhary). The two best friends have been inseparable since childhood, so much so that their mothers wonder what they will do when one of them marries.
Lag Ja Gale and Maitree, which will premiere on Zee TV on February 7th, will air every day of the week, Monday through Sunday, at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
