WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has begun developing 21 new emojis for a future update to the app.
According to IANS, the messaging platform has also redesigned eight emojis, which are already visible in the beta version.
Eight emojis have been updated in the most recent beta build, which is now available on the Play Store, and 21 new emojis will be made available to all beta testers soon.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp began rolling out a new disappearing messages shortcut on the Android beta on Friday.
Some users were able to access the shortcut feature after downloading the latest WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.22.25.11 update.
The messaging platform launched a yellow pages-style business directory in five countries last month.
The feature was made available in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Mexico, and Colombia.
The directory, according to the company, would allow users to either search directly for companies that are contactable through the service or browse by business types, such as travel or banking.
