SonyLiv, the video-on-demand platform, is expanding its regional footprint by looking into executive producers in Marathi content, digital business, and people to head its Southern content and digital business.
The candidate will have to take a responsible position in the creation and delivery of content for Marathi, which includes coordination with production houses and various internal teams to maintain the quality of content produced and within agreed timelines.
The successful candidate’s strategy for the south content development and programming will have to be in alignment with the organization’s brand positioning and target audience’s preferences and consumption patterns to drive MAU, Sony Pictures Networks India said in a series of LinkedIn posts.
In 2013, SonyLIV, a division of Sony Pictures Networks India, was the first premium VOD service to launch in India.
Sony Pictures Networks is home to some of India’s leading entertainment channels such as SET, SAB, MAX, PAL, PIX, Sony BBC Earth, Yay!, Sony Marathi, Sony SIX, Sony TEN, Sony TEN1, SONY Ten2, SONY TEN3, SONY TEN4.
In June 2020, SonyLIV was relaunched with a refreshed brand identity under Danish Khan, business head, of Sony Entertainment Television, digital business and Studio Next.
SonyLIV entered the original content space in June 2020 with the launch of ‘Your Honor’. It is with the same show that the platform embarked on its journey of creating sequels.
