Anil Malhotra has resigned from SITI Networks Limited, an Essel Group Company, as Chief Executive Officer on December 31.
After Anil’s exit, SITI Networks has announced the appointment of Yogesh Sharma as CEO and KMP of the company with immediate effect from January 1, 2022.
The company has notified the BSE on the development.
As per the BSE filing, “The resignation of Mr. Anil Kumar Malhotra as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company as close of business hours on December 31, 2021, due to other professional obligations and commitments, the Board of Directors of the company as its meeting held today, upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Board, has approved the appointment of Mr. Yogesh Sharma as CEO and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company with effect from January 1, 2022.”
Anil joined SITI Networks as Chief Operating Officer in 2011 and since then he has helmed various leadership roles across SITI Networks.
Anil had rich and varied experience in the cable TV sector and had previously worked at the Hinduja group too.
He has a proven track record of amalgamating progressive leadership and entrepreneurial spirit throughout his career. Anil played a critical role in the successful implementation of the New Tariff Order framework at SITI Networks and was instrumental in the transformation of SITI from an analog player to a digital Multiple System Operator.
Prior to SITI Networks, he had various successful entrepreneurial stints, including serving as President (North India) for InCablenet, a distribution vertical of the Hinduja Group.
Malhotra has been an active member of various Government & Industry bodies, including MIB task forces for the implementation of DAS regulations, New Tariff Order, etc., and the All India Digital Cable Federation.
Earlier, Sharma joined SITI Networks as VP in 2018 and became the Chief Operating Officer in 2019.
Sharma has been instrumental in introducing innovative ideas, implementing new processes and competitive strategies to achieve market. He has been hailed for adopting modern methodologies in compliance with quality standards.
Yogesh comes with over 28 years of rich experience, has a proven record of driving operational excellence across organizations. He has dynamic leadership capabilities in business expansion through strategic initiatives, transformational leadership, strengthening operational capabilities, project controls, and implementing best practices.
Yogesh has extensive experience with national MSOs like DEN Networks, Hathway, and Indusind Media.
