The streaming platform Disney+ has announced 20th Century Studios’ ‘Home Sweet Home Alone’, an all-new adventure comedy from the beloved holiday film franchise, will debut on November 12, 2021.
As per the company’s press release, the story revolves around Max Mercer, who is a mischievous and resourceful young boy who has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. So, when a married couple, attempting to retrieve a priceless heirloom, set their sights on the Mercer family’s home, it is up to Max to protect it from the trespassers, and he will do whatever it takes to keep them out.
Directed by Dan Mazer (Dirty Grandpa), ‘Home Sweet Home Alone’ features a cast that includes Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, , Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell.
For the unversed, ‘Home Sweet Home Alone’ marks the sixth installment in the franchise, and the first since 2012’s TV movie sequel ‘Home Alone: The Holiday Heist’.
