Being an innovative media and content creation company, ABP News has launched a brand new investigative crime show called ‘Forensic Files’, a show that demonstrates how forensic science is used to solve complex crimes.
As per the company’s press release, journalist and criminologist, Dr. Indrajeet Rai, who has expertise in the field of forensic science, would host the show.
The show’s format and content, probably a first on an Indian news channel, offers a fresh approach to the crime genre. Rai has professionally studied crime scene investigation from the International Institute of Forensic Science and brings an abundance of interesting insights and expertise on complicated crimes and incidents.
Every episode of the show would feature one true and intriguing crime story, which would be dissected as to how it was solved by applying modern technology. On the show, there is also dramatization of the events that occurred — aimed at providing the viewers with a realistic viewing experience.
This show decodes intricate crime stories that are tough to interpret and further evaluates the technical aspects of the crime and the crime scene, providing an all-inclusive account. Further, forensic experts explain the methodology applied in crime solving to make the viewers understand every aspect of the crime. This unique take of the show distinguishes it from other offerings in the news genre.
Speaking about the new show, Avinash Pandey, CEO, ABP Network said, “At ABP News, we have been laser-focused towards providing fresh and compelling content to our viewers. This show is another unique offering from the house of ABP Network that will educate the viewers about true crime. Forensic Files will delve into every angle and detail of the crime to provide a comprehensive picture to the viewers. With this new offering, we aim to further strengthen our programming slate and consolidate our leading position in the Hindi news genre.”
‘Forensic Files’, which started airing on ABP News from July 31, 2021, will be broadcast every Saturday at 8:00 pm with a repeat telecast on Sunday at 12:30 pm.
