Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘Indian Idol Legends Return’ brings back 24 singers from previous seasons for a musical reunion filled with nostalgia and competition.
With Himesh Reshammiya as the Superstar Judge, the show gives familiar voices another opportunity to showcase their talent.
According to a SET press release, the show introduces a new format in which the 24 returning singers are paired into 12 duos. Instead of performing individually, the contestants must work together, match their singing styles and demonstrate their versatility and ability to complement each other.
The lineup includes familiar names such as Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana, Salman Ali, Sayli Kamble and Rishi Singh. Their return gives viewers an opportunity to reconnect with singers who have previously been part of the show.
One of the key features of the season is its peer-evaluation system, in which contestants assess one another’s performances alongside Himesh Reshammiya.
The format adds a competitive element, but the focus is expected to remain on musical talent and performance quality.
Himesh brings his signature style, energy and experience to the show. His role as Superstar Judge adds to the reunion, while his musical expertise is expected to play an important part in evaluating the contestants’ performances.
The show’s philosophy, ‘Sirf ek baar jeetna kaafi nahi hota, baar baar jeetna padta hai’, highlights the importance of continuing to prove one’s talent.
The returning singers will have to demonstrate their abilities once again in this new format.
Produced by Fremantle India, ‘Indian Idol Legends Return’ combines familiar faces with a fresh competition format.
While the concept brings nostalgia for longtime viewers, the show’s appeal will depend on the quality of performances and its focus on singing.
