Bollywood actor Esha Deol Takhtani, who had taken a hiatus from films after marriage, is all set to make her digital debut with the upcoming crime-drama series ‘Rudra –The Edge of Darkness’.
Earlier, Ajay Devgn had announced the project will launch later this year on Disney+Hotstar.
The Hotstar Specials series will soon go into production and will be shot across Mumbai. It is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India.
The series is the Indian adaptation of the successful British series —‘Luther’, helmed by Idris Elba as a troubled and alcohol-addicted police detective . An engaging dark thriller crime drama series, ‘Rudra’would bring a unique storytelling format and powerful characters.
Ajay Devgn had earlier called Rudra “the crime thriller of the year”. The ‘Singham’actor will take the role of a cop with grey shades for this series.
Esha Deol was last seen in ‘Cakewalk’.
