The sequel to the 2006 comedy film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ will now release in theatres on March 5, the makers have announced the revised release date along with a new poster on social media. The film was earlier scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 28.
According to an ANI report from Mumbai yesterday, the sequel will see the return of several actors from the original film, including Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, Kiran Juneja and Parvin Dabas. Tara Sharma, who was also part of the first film, will return for the sequel.
The original ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, was released in 2006. The film follows a middle-class Delhi family trying to recover a plot of land taken over by a property dealer. It combined comedy with a story about property disputes and the challenges faced by an ordinary family.
With the sequel, the makers are bringing back familiar characters nearly 21 years after the original film’s release. The new release date means audiences will have to wait until March 2027 to watch the Khosla family return to the big screen.
