The makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ have announced that Part 1 will release worldwide in theatres on November 5, the first day of Navratri, along with the unveiling of a new poster featuring the film’s lead cast. The makers have also confirmed that advance bookings will open on Dussehra.
According to an ANI report from Mumbai yesterday, the new poster features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey appear in the foreground, while Yash’s character Ravana is shown towering behind them. The poster offers a glimpse of the film’s visual style, including its costumes, sets and detailing.
Along with the poster, the makers shared the message, ‘Yeh Ram Ke Yug Ka Aarambh Hai’, marking the beginning of the promotional campaign for the film. They announced that the movie would arrive in cinemas worldwide across premium formats from November 5, with advance bookings opening on Dussehra.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG, an eight-time Academy Award-winning visual effects company, and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam across India. It will also be available in IMAX and other premium cinema formats. Sony Pictures will handle international distribution outside India, while Dharma Productions will distribute the film in the Hindi-speaking market.
