Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar who is known for his direction skills will be putting the director’s hat again for his next film after a gap of five years to bring their magic with Bollywood megastar’s Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.
The filmmaker announced the film on Ranveer’s birthday on July 6.
This will be Ranveer and Alia’s second film together. Earlier, they were seen together in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy (2019).
Announcing his new project, Karan, whose last directorial venture was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), he also helmed Netflix’s anthologies ‘Lust Stories’ (2018) and ‘Ghost Stories’ (2020), shared a teaser to announce his next project ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.

The filmmaker wrote that he’ll be directing the film, which is penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy.
He wrote, “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favorite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy.”
Apart from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, Karan also has ‘Takht’ for direction.
The movie will release in 2022.
