TIMES NOW is set to host ‘BRICS Dialogues’ in New Delhi on September 12 and 13 to coincide with the 18th BRICS Summit. The event will focus on the changing global power structure and India’s growing role in BRICS.

As India prepares to host the BRICS Summit, TIMES NOW has been covering the major developments and discussions around the grouping. The channel has also interviewed diplomats, policymakers, economists, strategic affairs experts and other global voices.

According to a Times Network press release from Mumbai, the interviews include former G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, Financial Times columnist Martin Wolf, economist and author Dr Jeffrey D. Sachs, AlphaGeo founder and CEO Parag Khanna, former diplomat Jawed Ashraf and former BRICS Sherpa T.S. Tirumurti, among others.

Exclusive interviews with Congress Lok Sabha MP Manish Tewari and former Indian Ambassador to China Gautam Bambawale will also be aired.

Speaking to TIMES NOW, Martin Wolf discussed the importance of BRICS, India-China relations, the US-China relationship and ongoing global conflicts.

He said BRICS provides a platform where India and China can communicate while also discussing wider global issues with other countries.

Dr Jeffrey Sachs spoke about India’s relationship with the US and said he believes BRICS represents a move towards a more multipolar world. He also highlighted the growing importance of Asia and closer relations between India and China.

Parag Khanna said BRICS should focus more on economic cooperation rather than trying to solve every global conflict. He highlighted areas such as energy, infrastructure, critical minerals, the New Development Bank and reducing dependence on the US dollar.

The ‘BRICS Dialogues’ will be held under the theme ‘Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.’

The event will bring together Union Ministers, policymakers, diplomats, economists, business leaders and global thought leaders to discuss India’s role in BRICS and the changing global power structure.
