The makers of the upcoming series ‘The Revolutionaries’ have released a new song titled ‘Maahiya’. The song celebrates the growing love between the show’s lead characters, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, played by Rohit Saraf, and Pratibha Lahiri, played by Pratibha Ranta.
According to an ANI report from Mumbai today, ‘Maahiya’ is a romantic track about the happiness of having someone who means everything to you. The song focuses on the woman at the centre of the love story and presents the emotions of the character who considers her very special.
The song has been sung by Neeti Mohan and Tushar Joshi. Akashdeep Sengupta has composed the music, while Tolia Lavraj Singh and Gaurab Chakraborty have written the lyrics.
Talking about the song, Neeti Mohan said she found ‘Maahiya’ beautiful and soothing. She said she liked the warmth in its melody and lyrics, especially the way the song celebrates the woman the character loves and makes her the centre of his emotions.
‘The Revolutionaries’ is inspired by true events and tells the story of India’s fight for freedom. The series is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book ‘Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom’.
The series stars Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada, along with Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in key roles. It is directed and created by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment. ‘The Revolutionaries’ will stream on Prime Video from September 11.
